Frequently asked questions

Orders and products
How does made-to-measure printing work?
Choose the product, enter the width and height to the centimetre, select the substrate and finish: the price is calculated automatically in real time, VAT included. Each piece is printed to measure for your project.
What's the difference between wallpaper, fine art and canvas?
Wallpaper covers entire walls made to measure; fine art prints are art prints on premium papers, ideal for framing; canvas prints are stretched over a frame, ready to hang. Each line has its own dedicated substrates and finishes.
Can I print my own image?
Yes. With the personalisation service you can upload your own file: make sure it has a resolution suitable for the print size. You'll find all the details in the file guidelines.
Are the inks safe?
We use certified, non-toxic inks, suitable also for home, school and healthcare environments. All production is entirely in-house, with direct control over file, colour and finish.
Measurements and configuration
How do I measure the wall correctly?
Measure the maximum width and height of the surface to cover and add a few centimetres of margin on each side for trimming. If in doubt, our customer service will help you define the right measurements.
What happens if I get the measurements wrong?
Before production starts we check the order and the files. If you notice an error, contact us straight away: we can only intervene until the order has entered production, after which it becomes final.
What resolution should my file have?
The resolution needed depends on the print size. In general you need high-resolution images: check the file guidelines for the format, size and colour requirements.
Samples
How do I request substrate samples?
Sample kits are requested from your account area, on the Samples page. The service is dedicated to customers with an active Pro Programme and covers wallpaper substrates.
Are samples free?
Yes, for Pro customers the sample kit is free, shipping included.
How many substrates can I request?
You can select up to the maximum number of substrates shown on the Samples page, so you can compare several materials before ordering.
Hanging and application
What adhesive should I use for the wallpaper?

You need a PVA dispersion adhesive for wallcoverings, stirred thoroughly before use. The paste goes on the wall, not on the drop: our material is hung dry.

Cover an area slightly wider than the strip and work the paste properly into corners and edges too, without excess that could drip. Read the full hanging guide.

Do I need to soak the paper or let it rest before hanging?

No. Our wallpaper uses the paste-the-wall method: you spread the adhesive on the wall and apply the drop dry, with no soaking and no waiting time.

It is also why the drop does not expand, so the pattern match between one strip and the next stays precise.

How should I prepare the wall?

The surface must be smooth, sound, dry and free of mould or algae. Strip off any old wallpaper, paint or limewash and remove every trace of ink or crayon, which can bleed through the print. Fill holes and sand down imperfections.

  • Absorbent surfaces (plaster, skim coats): prime them and let the primer dry fully.
  • Painted walls: wash them with water and an environmentally friendly degreaser, then sand them lightly to key the surface so the paste can grip.
Should I check anything before I start hanging?

Yes, and it matters. Check the material as soon as it arrives: it must be undamaged and complete against your order confirmation.

Then stop after the first three strips and check them for colour consistency and surface texture. If something looks wrong, do not carry on — contact us straight away: claims cannot be accepted once more than three strips have been hung.

How do the strips join together?

The strips are hung edge to edge, as a butt join: brought together without overlapping, with the pattern matched.

We print every drop to the exact measurements of your wall precisely so it can be hung butt to butt: we do not produce drops with an overlap allowance, so there is nothing to trim while hanging.

Tip: on dark designs, paint a band of dark colour on the wall along the joint, so no white background shows through if the edges do not meet perfectly.

What can stop the wallpaper adhering properly?

Surfaces vary enormously, so it is always worth hanging one strip as a test before committing to the whole wall. Adhesion is compromised by:

  • dusty, damp, dirty, oxidised or heavily textured surfaces;
  • release agents left on plastic or concrete;
  • existing paint that is not properly bonded to the substrate;
  • working below the minimum temperature or outside the recommended range;
  • chemical spills or vapours in the room;
  • paints containing dirt-repellent additives such as silicones.
Shipping
How long does it take to receive my order?
Every product is made to measure: the estimated dispatch date includes production and starts from the order confirmation. You'll find it shown in the cart and at checkout.
Do you ship abroad?
At the moment we ship exclusively within Italy, with a tracked courier.
How do I track my shipment?
As soon as the order is handed to the courier you receive an email with the tracking code. You can also follow the status from your account area, under "My orders".
Payments and invoicing
Which payment methods do you accept?
You can pay by advance bank transfer and any further methods made available at checkout. Payments are made in advance and production starts after the payment clears and a compliant file is uploaded.
Do I get an invoice?
Yes, we issue an electronic invoice when the order is fulfilled, transmitted to the Interchange System (SDI).
Can I make out the invoice to my company?
Yes. By entering your company name and VAT number in your profile, the invoice is made out to your business. Customers registered as a company can also request the Pro Programme.
Returns and support
Can I cancel an order?
You can request cancellation until the order enters production. Once production has started the order is final, as it is a made-to-measure product.
Can personalised products be returned?
As they are goods made to measure, the right of withdrawal is generally excluded under art. 59 of the Italian Consumer Code. Your rights in the event of a defect of conformity remain valid.
The product arrived damaged: what do I do?
On delivery, check the integrity of the packaging and, in case of damage, sign with "specific reservation of inspection" or refuse the parcel. Then contact customer service attaching a few photos: we'll find a solution right away.
