Made to measure wall art, printed in Italy
GetinArt is the brand PRiNKO prints wall art under. Every piece is made after your order, in the measurements of your wall, in our own workshop in Guidonia Montecelio, just outside Rome. Nothing is bought in and nothing waits in a warehouse.
What we do
Made to measure wallpaper, canvas prints and fine art prints. You pick a design from the catalogue or upload your own image, you give us the size of the wall, and the piece is produced for that space. There are no standard formats to force into place and no roll counting: you order the surface you actually have.
The catalogue holds thousands of images, organised by theme, style and room in the collections. The same subject can be printed on any of the three lines, because what changes is not the image but the distance you look at it from.
Made to measure wallpaper
Cut to the centimetre for your wall, on the material you choose, printed in panels ready to hang.
Canvas prints online
Stretched by hand over a frame and delivered ready to hang, in a standard size or one of your own.
Fine art prints
Pigment inks on paper, aluminium or acrylic glass, for work that is looked at from close up.
Printed in Italy, not resold
This is the part most online wallpaper shops leave out, so it is worth being plain about it: GetinArt does not buy its printing from anyone. Prepress, large format printing, finishing, inspection and packing all happen in the same building in Guidonia Montecelio, in the province of Rome. The work is never handed to a third party, which means that when something is not right there is nobody to blame and nothing to renegotiate: it gets printed again.
It also means the people who answer the phone are the people who run the machines. If you are working on a project in Rome or in Lazio and want to talk through a difficult wall before ordering, you are talking to the workshop, not to a call centre. How the five stages actually work is set out on the process page.
See how we produceWhy made to order, and what it costs you
There is no warehouse of ready prints. Every piece is produced after the order, and that choice has a price and a benefit, both of which belong on this page. The benefit is that the measurements are yours and nothing is left unsold at the end of a season. The price is time: dispatch takes 6–8 working days, not twenty four hours, because your piece does not exist until you order it.
Everything else we try to keep boring and predictable. Shipping goes with a tracked courier, free above €250, payment is by cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and bank transfer in advance, and the full detail on times, packing, damages and returns is on the shipping page. If you have never ordered wallpaper by the square metre, how to order walks through measuring the wall first.
What is in the catalogue
Several sources, kept clearly apart. Museum work: reproductions released into the public domain or under a CC0 licence by international institutions, among them the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the National Gallery of Art in Washington and Statens Museum for Kunst. Each file is prepared one by one before it goes on sale, and the available pixels are checked against the largest size we offer, so a work is never sold at a size its source cannot carry.
Then contemporary artists, both working with us directly and through third party image libraries. Independent artists publish their own work on GetinArt and earn a royalty on every print sold, which is why the catalogue is not only old masters. Patterns are checked for a repeat with no visible joins at any wall size. Where the images come from, in more detail, is on the collections page.
Materials and inks
We say only what we can document. The inks are GREENGUARD Gold certified for low emissions, the standard written into specifications for schools and healthcare, and the textile materials carry OEKO-TEX Standard 100. Both certificates are downloadable from your account once you have ordered. The pigment UV inks used on the fine art line are stated as permanent up to 200 years.
That is the whole list, and it is short on purpose: we do not write "eco friendly" where we have no document to show. Choosing between the materials by room and by use is covered in the guide to materials, and what your own file needs is in the file guidelines.
If you work in the trade
Architects, interior designers, resellers and hospitality projects have a dedicated programme, with a standing 20% discount, physical samples of the materials and the technical sheets a specification document asks for. Artists can submit their own work to the catalogue and are paid a royalty on each print.
