Fabric brings the weave of linen onto the wall: a regular, slightly raised texture that reads as real cloth up close and as a warm, deep surface from across the room. It is the texture that changes most with the light. The weave holds shadow, so the wall takes a slightly different tone at every hour: lighter and more tactile in the morning, softer and more enveloping at night. On full colours and natural shades — earths, sands, deep greens — the effect is that of fabric stretched across the wall. Underneath the textile look, though, sits a contract-grade material. It has body, it does not mark, it resists scratches and knocks, and it can be scrubbed clean, sponge and all: which is why it is one of the papers most used in hotels, restaurants and waiting rooms, where a wall has to survive years of traffic and still look like day one. You paste the wall to hang it. The relief helps hide the joints between drops, and the finished result reads as one continuous surface. Ideal for feature walls, front-of-house areas and interior projects where the wallpaper is meant to have a presence of its own.
