Canvas takes the irregular weave of an artist's canvas: an imperfect grid, with threads slightly thicker here and thinner there, giving the wall the same vibration as a painting stretched on its frame. It has more body than anything else we offer. The material is heavy and dense, and you notice it both while hanging — the drop stays put, does not distort and covers the background completely — and afterwards: the surface resists scratches and impacts, so it takes the chairs scraping, the trolleys, the bags leaning against it, everything that ends up against a wall in a public room. The finish is matte and washable. Marks come off with a damp cloth, and the colours do not fade under light, even on brightly lit walls. Visually it is the most painterly choice in the range: on a reproduction of a painting, an illustration or a graphic pattern, the canvas weave adds a degree of craft that a smooth surface simply cannot. Recommended for restaurants, hotels and shops — and for the walls at home you want to read as a painting the size of the room.
