Sandgrain is the middle ground: you barely see it, but you feel it everywhere. The surface carries a fine, even grain, like finely worked plaster, which breaks the light just enough to give colour a depth that perfectly smooth papers cannot reach. It is the texture we recommend when the design has large blocks of flat colour. The micro-grain holds the ink evenly, dark tones never go flat, and gradients stay soft even across very large walls. The material is noticeably heavier than a smooth paper. It has thickness, it covers the background completely, and it takes knocks and accidental scratches without marking: in a hallway, behind a desk or along a staircase, that difference shows over the years. The surface is washable, so fingerprints and light marks come off with a damp cloth. You paste the wall to hang it and, because the material is stiffer, it tends to sit square on its own, with clean seams. It is the right choice for offices, hotels, restaurants and shops — and for every wall at home that really gets lived in.
