Rendered in a grayscale palette, this engraving features strong contrasts, from the deepest blacks of the drapery to the luminous highlights on the halo and parchment. The composition uses classic chiaroscuro to create a solemn and contemplative mood, evoking the profound spirituality of its 1859 creation. It offers a powerful historical presence.
