Painted around 1899, this still life comes from a pivotal moment in Paul Cézanne's career, when he was deeply engaged in exploring the underlying structure of objects through color and brushwork. The canvas presents a vibrant arrangement of red apples and bright oranges, carefully placed on white plates and a pedestal bowl. A voluminous white cloth drapes across the foreground, its folds rendered with sculptural precision, while behind it, a patterned fabric and a decorative jug contribute to the scene's visual richness. Cézanne's distinct approach to still life transforms everyday items into a study of form and light, making this painting a cornerstone of post-impressionist art. This piece
